At ADEC Preview we scan millions of pages of our customers' paper documents every year, allowing much of them to be recycled. .

The increasing demand for paper currently outstrips the amount of pulp-wood produced by tree plantations. As such, the wood has to be sourced from old-growth forests, including tropical rainforests. Many areas of rainforest are also being destroyed in order to establish fast-growing plantations for pulp and paper production. Along with logging, mining and agriculture, this represents one of the major threats to the world's remaining rainforests, which are disappearing at a rate of one football field per second! With the loss of the rainforests, we are driving plants, animals and different cultures to extinction destroying our planet's rich biodiversity

ADEC Preview supports the work of the Rainforest Foundation in helping the indigenous peoples of the rainforest to protect their environment so as to secure their own futures and that of the rainforest itself.

For every new customer signed during 2004, ADEC Preview will donate up to £100 to the Rainforest Foundation's Protect an Acre scheme at a rate of £1 per 1,000 images scanned. The average 4 drawer filing cabinet contains 20,000 A4 pages and this translates to a contribution of £20 for each filing cabinet scanned.
