ADEC Successfully Undergoes Audit for QMS and EMS

Aug 17-19, 2011 - ADEC passes re-certification for ISO 9001:2008 (3rd QMS certification since 2005) and continuous certification on ISO 14001:2004 + Cor.1:2009 (2nd surveillance audit since 2009)

In line with the company's objective to provide the highest level of operational standards, ADEC recently underwent auditing for its existing ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 14001:2004 + Cor.1:2009 Environmental Management System (EMS). The audit was conducted by TUV Rheinland on two of its operational sites, ADEC Las Pinas and ADEC Services Corporation.

The process, person, project, system, and organization evaluation was conducted to assess ADEC' internal controls in executing project management, quality management and energy conservation, to ensure that the past levels of standards are maintained or exceeded for renewal or continuance of certifications.

An opening meeting was held with the Management Committee members on day 1 of the 3-day audit. Remaining days covered all the major processes on Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS). A combination of process-based audit approach and employee interviews was conducted by the auditors. The activity successfully concluded on the third day with positive results.

ISO 9001:2008 was recommended for recertification, given that the evaluation transpired after its expiration. ISO 14001:2004 + Cor.1:2009 was positively granted continuous certification, subject to routine annual surveillance prior to renewal upon its term.
